Bio
Jed Steer joined Aston Villa from his hometown club Norwich City in 2013. The goalkeeper rose through the ranks at the Canaries but made only two senior appearances for the club before moving to Villa Park.
Steer’s career has taken him to six clubs on loan so far, Yeovil Town, Cambridge United, Doncaster Rovers, Huddersfield Town, Charlton Athletic and Luton Town. The stopper spent the first half of the 2018/19 season with the Addicks before returning to play an integral part in Villa’s promotion to the Premier League.
In June 2019, he was rewarded with a new four-year contract. He has since provided back-up to Tom Heaton and then Emiliano Martinez in the top flight. Steer spent time with Luton Town during the second half of the 2021/22 season, making five appearances before injury disrupted his campaign.
