The Aston Villa Fan Advisory Board held its latest meeting at Villa Park earlier this month.

The Fan Advisory Board (FAB) gathered on Tuesday, March 3 as a wide range of topics were once again discussed with the group of key stakeholders. It follows the inaugural get-together in August, October's second meeting, December's meeting and website launch, and the latest meeting in January.

The FAB, formed following an extensive process conducted by the club in conjunction with the FSA (Football Supporters' Association) and the Premier League, is the primary vehicle of consultation with our supporters.

The fan board submitted a detailed list of questions to the club in advance of the meeting, to which the club in-turn provided written responses from across departments ahead of the meeting.

You can find both the minutes and the FAB's questions from the meeting below.

Fan Advisory Board Q&A

General Logistics

Based on the current six-week rolling dates, the following are the scheduled dates for main FAB meetings: Tuesday, March 3, Tuesday, April 14, and Tuesday, May 26.

Please note, the May date may need to move slightly to accommodate the final stage of the Ticketing consultation process outlined below. If that is the case, we will inform the FAB as quickly as possible.

Thank you, noted.

FAB Operations

Thank you, noted.

Understood and noted. To date, we feel that we have turned around most FAB requests very promptly, but happy to discuss separately any specific concerns.

The construction work has now started on the North Stand, is on track and scheduled for completion in April 2028. The club will communicate the more specific timelines and impacts when in a position to do so as the work progresses.

Following the recent selection process, we’re pleased to confirm that all 8 successful candidates have formally accepted their positions on the Junior Fan Advisory Board (J-FAB).

The first meeting is provisionally scheduled for Thursday, March 5, subject to final confirmation of member availability. This opening session will focus on introductions, outlining the purpose and structure of J-FAB, and beginning discussions centred around matchday atmosphere at Villa Park.
We’re looking forward to getting started and hearing the ideas and perspectives of our newest junior board members.

Working Group Questions

We are working on both and will provide verbal updates as part of AOB in the meeting.

The introduction has been made and the FAB are now in direct contact with Ian. We have suggested nominating one member of FAB to be Ian's direct point of contact between the group. Ian is excited and looking forward to supporting the group as best he can.

Our plan will be to follow the same process which worked well in 2025, namely a three step consultation:

1. In mid-late March in a specially-convened informal meeting, the Club will run through the initial ideas and options for the FAB to consider. This is prior to any decisions being made and is intended for the FAB to guide the Club, especially where the Club is choosing between options.

2. The FAB feeds back their views on the proposal at the planned FAB meeting on April 14.

3. The Club shares the final decision with the FAB at the planned FAB meeting in May before communicating to the wider fanbase.

As communicated separately to the FAB Chair, the plan for the week before the Leeds game is:

- Web story
- Inclusion on the pre-match email
- Post(s) on AVFC Support Twitter

Naturally, the FAB also have your own channels too and the Club encourages the FAB to also spread this message that way.

Stewards have now been briefed on this following an internal review on whether power banks should be permitted or not. Power Banks are permitted and information on our website (point 7 at the hyperlink below) has also been updated to reflect this.

If being reported by a FAB member, you can report them directly to me (Matthew Dainty) via email. Supporters are advised to report by emailing supporters@avfc.co.uk. We have a digital maintenance log which the Supporter Services Team have direct access to.

This entrance remains open and has been open for every matchday this season. The SLO team themselves use this access to the stadium bowl and it is manned by a steward and a designated member of the Fan Support team.

Thank you. We will brief this to Lead Safety Officer, Stewart Bladen, to make sure this is managed moving forward.

Due to stadium upgrades in the summer, of both toilets and kitchens, along with new sustainability measures that were introduced, we found ourselves hitting low water in this area. We have invested over £100k in finding the solution, and against Chelsea, our final stage of works were complete. We monitored our water supply throughout the evening and thankfully encountered no depletion. We will continue to monitor these over the next few games to make sure our changes are keeping up with the demand of the stand.
