Evann Guessand has been called up by Ivory Coast for inclusion in their squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Aston Villa wide man was initially on his nation’s reserve list for the tournament, which got underway on Sunday in Morocco.

However, an injury to Sebastien Haller means Guessand has been named as replacement and will link up with the rest of the Ivory Coast squad.

The reigning AFCON champions and three-time winners open their bid for the title in Group F against Mozambique (Wednesday, December 24), Cameroon (Sunday, December 28) and Gabon (Wednesday, December 31).

Congratulations, Evann! 🇨🇮
