Emery nominated for PL Manager of the Month

Unai Emery has been nominated for the Premier League's Manager of the Month award for October.

The nomination is a reward for an unbeaten month in the top flight for Aston Villa, with Emery guiding his team to two wins and two draws.

Villa returned to action after the international break with a 2-2 draw against Brentford before earning a 1-0 victory at Newcastle United.

B6 went wild as Emery's side inflicted a first league loss on Manchester City, picking up a 2-1 win, and October ended with a 1-1 draw with Fulham.

The Spaniard is up against Mikel Arteta, Roberto De Zerbi, Fabian Hürzeler and Marco Rose for the award, with the winner to be announced at 12pm on Friday, November 13.
