Tammy Abraham has been voted Aston Villa’s Player of the Month for February 2026.
The forward is recognised for his first month back in claret and blue, having returned to the club on a permanent basis on January 27.
Abraham featured in all six of Villa’s outings in all competitions, scoring twice having started two matches.
Abraham’s second debut for the club came on the first day of the month, completing 90 minutes as Bretford visited B6.
The 28-year-old thought he had dragged the Villans level in what would eventually prove a 1-0 defeat, sweeping home just minutes into the second half, though the goal was ruled out following a lengthy VAR check.
Substitute appearances followed in a trip to AFC Bournemouth and a 1-0 victory at home to Brighton & Hove Albion, before Abraham was handed his second start midway through the month.
Newcastle United were the visitors to Villa Park in the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup, and the forward got Unai Emery’s men off to the dream start, steering past Aaron Ramsdale a quarter of an hour in to cap off a fine set-piece routine, for his first goal since returning.
And, although Abraham was withdrawn midway through the second period as his side ultimately bowed out of the competition with a 3-1 defeat after Marco Bizot’s red card at the end of the first half, Tammy’s scoring streak continued into the next game against Leeds United the following weekend.
With Villa trailing to Anton Stach’s first-half free-kick, Abraham was introduced 20 minutes from time as the hosts sought an equaliser. That arrived with two minutes of normal time left to play, as the striker instinctively guided home Ezri Konsa’s knock-down to steal a point, before a further 20 minutes off the bench in Villa’s final outing of the month, away at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Abraham claimed the award having been selected by the Villa supporters, taking close to a third of the overall vote.
Villa's top three players in our February poll were:
Tammy Abraham 32%
Emi Martínez 12%
Douglas Luiz 7%
Thank you to everyone who voted and congratulations, Tammy!
