Aston Villa is pleased to announce that Cole Brannigan has signed a new contract with the club.

Brannigan arrived at Villa from Linfield in the summer of 2023, penning his first professional contract a year later.

A Northern Ireland Under-21 international, he played an integral role in the Under-18s’ treble-winning campaign last season, netting 15 goals in all competitions including a stunning effort in the FA Youth Cup Final at Villa Park.

The attacking midfielder has continued his development in the Under-21s this term, featuring in Premier League 2, the Vertu Trophy and the UEFA Youth League.

Academy Manager Mark Harrison said: “We are delighted to see Cole sign an extension to his contract.

“He was a key performer in the Under-18s last season, and played a significant part in their success with his goals and assists.

“He is a technically efficient, creative player who links and combines the game well.

“We look forward to seeing how he develops over the coming seasons.”

Congratulations, Cole!
