Lynskey pens new deal

Aston Villa is pleased to announce Alfie Lynskey has signed a new contract at the club.

The midfielder put pen to paper on his first professional contract with Villa in December 2024 and now agreed a fresh deal.

Lynskey, a Republic of Ireland Under-19 international, has risen through Villa’s Academy ranks and gained experience at a host of levels, including Premier League 2, UEFA Youth League, Vertu Trophy and FA Youth Cup.

“We're delighted Alfie has signed a new contract,” said Academy manager Mark Harrison.

“He’s a local lad who has been here since the age of 9 and comes from a family of big Villa fans.

“Alfie is a technical, creative midfield player with an eye for a goal as well. He played an important part last season in the success of the Under-18s, and we look forward to seeing how he develops over the next few years.”

Congratulations, Alfie!
