February Soccer Schools: Meet Burke/Robinson at striker clinics

Budding goalscorers will get the chance to learn from academy aces Graham Burke and Callum Robinson at Villa's new striker clinic soccer schools.

The NextGen Series heroes are set to appear at Arthur Terry School in Sutton Coldfield as part of the new two-day striker clinic course, which takes place on Monday February 17 and Tuesday February 18.

Burke and Robinson were major performers in the NextGen Series last season as Villa were crowned European champions at U19 level.

Irish hotshot Burke scored both goals in the final against Chelsea and also finished as the competition's join top scorer.

He made his first team debut last season, featuring in the Capital One Cup games against Tranmere and Bradford.

England U19 international Robinson has been a prolific goalscorer for Villa's U18, U21 and NextGen sides.

His efforts have impressed manager Paul Lambert, who gave him his first team debut in the Capital One Cup against Tottenham earlier this season.

The new striker clinics are for seven-fourteen-year-olds and take place from 10am-3pm at a cost of £40 overall.

There are 150 places available so get in quick to avoid disappointment.

We had a specialist goalkeeping course available too, but this is now sold out.

We also have our regular soccer schools taking place on Monday February 17 to Friday February 21.

They offer a great chance for youngsters aged four to twelve to take part in fun football activities.

Sessions run from 10am-12noon for four-six-year-olds, 10am to 3pm for seven-twelve-year-olds and participating children must wear trainers or astros plus shin pads.

Sessions take place in Tamworth, Aston, Northfield, Edgbaston and Sutton.

As well as these five-day course, we also a special three-day course at Arthur Terry School in Sutton too.

At all sessions, there will be technical coaching - mainly focusing on shooting ahead of a penalty shoot-out.

There will also be the opportunity to participate in the World Cup finals!

Each player will receive a certificate.

Children will require a packed lunch while they should also have plenty of non-fizzy drink with them.

Courses are taught by our FA qualified CRB checked coaches, who have Emergency Aid and Safeguarding Children certificates.
