Gabby Agbonlahor has delivered a glowing endorsement of Villa's young and hungry new recruits, insisting: "They haven't looked out of place whatsoever."
Agbonlahor reckons the likes of Joe Bennett, Matthew Lowton and Ashley Westwood have relished their step up to the big time since arriving at the club during the summer transfer window.
And the striker played down concerns over the lack of top-flight experience among Paul Lambert's new signings.
He believes the younger players in the claret and blues ranks are fast learners.
"I think you can say that new boys lack Premier League experience, but they are going to get that," said Agbonlahor.
"The more games they play they will learn and get better and I think that is showing already.
"It is good from the gaffer's point of view that he has faith in these players, especially in training people have done really well.
"One example is Ashley Westwood, who has come in to training and not looked out of place.
"He's done really well and not looked different to any other player in the squad.
"So I think the gaffer has made his choices and he's made them because he thinks those players can do it and so far in training and in games they have shown that they can.
"They don't look fazed by the pressure. They have just come in and looked as if they have played 30 or 40 games."
