5 reasons to be here for Blackburn Rovers game

We face Blackburn Rovers at Villa Park this Saturday, looking to continue a strong run of form.

Here are ‘5 reasons’ to make sure you're here with us this weekend.

1] We’re back!

It’s been a long two weeks – but we’re back in action as Blackburn Rovers come to B6.

There’s no doubt it’s been hard for our fans to fill the days with this break in action as they crave the chance to see the boys do their stuff.

But the claret and blue phoenix is about to rise from the flames as we look to continue our push for promotion – and solidify our place in the Play-Off spots.

Blackburn will be looking for a good result, too, as they aim to finish the campaign strongly.

They’re 10 points off the top six and 11 points off the drop so they’ll want to start moving up, rather than down.

All to play for - don't miss out.

Lansbury5ReasonsBlackburn2] Duo set for return

Henri Lansbury and Axel Tuanzebe definitely can’t wait until Saturday arrives.

Never mind the two-week international break, Lansbury and Tuanzebe have had to patient for a lot longer.

Tuanzebe has been out since December with a foot problem while Lansbury has been absent since January with a hamstring issue.

Both have been working relentlessly to get back to full fitness and this has peaked over the past fortnight as they now eye up the Rovers game for their return.

They face stiff competition to get back in.

Tyrone Mings and Kortney Hause have been exquisite at centre-back while Jack Grealish, Conor Hourihane, Glenn Whelan and John McGinn are all in fine form in the midfield battleground.

With Lansbury and Tuanzebe now pushing, Dean Smith will have big decisions to make.

SmithPostSheffUtd3] Keep pushing hard

Dean Smith’s men have done brilliantly to get back into the promotion picture – and they won’t want their good work to go to waste now.

At one stage, it looked a forlorn hope for the claret and blues to legitimately get back into it – with an excess of games and a lack of points compared to our rivals.

But belief at Bodymoor never wavered for one minute and four wins later, we’re in sixth spot and looking good.

Smith has spoken relentlessly about focusing on the 'here and now' and he’ll have to continue that sermon pre-game as Rovers look for an upset.

Grealish5ReasonsBlackburn4] Five star

It’s not just been results that have skyrocketed over the past few weeks – the performances have been star-studded too.

First off in our run of four victories was a sensational win over Derby County, which saw Conor Hourihane grab two, Tammy Abraham finish a delightful team move and Jack Grealish score an absolute scorcher.

Then followed a brilliant Second City Derby victory, which merged skill and substance in a red-hot atmosphere.

Our win at the City Ground was ultra-professional while the victory over high-flying Middlesbrough was perhaps our best performance of them all as we showed all facets of the game – pace, grace, power and precision.
