Lucy Parker joined Aston Villa on a two-year contract with the option of extending for a further year in the summer of 2023.

Born in Cambridge, the 24-year-old spent several years playing and studying in the United States at Louisiana State University (LSU) and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Parker returned to the United Kingdom in 2021 and penned her first professional contract with West Ham United.

An injury disrupted Parker's maiden season as a Villan as she was limited to only nine appearances across all competitions.

The centre back has cemented herself in the Villa backline this term as she has formed a defensive partnership with Anna Patten.

Parker as also represented England at youth level as well as being named in the Lionesses senior squad on several occasions over the last year.
