Filip Marschall is a promising goalkeeper who has represented England at youth level. He spent the second half of the 2022/23 campaign on loan in the National League with Gateshead. 

The 'keeper kept eight clean sheets in 20 appearances to help keep them in the division. It was Marschall's second spell with the club after he helped them win the National League North title in the 2021/22 season. In August 2022, the 'keeper signed a new deal at Villa. 

He also has an FA Youth Cup winners' medal on his CV, forming part of the Aston Villa team that beat Liverpool 2-1 at Villa Park in the final in 2021. 

England have capped Marschall at Under-19 level.
