Ritchie De Laet joined us from Leicester City on a three-year deal in August 2016.

De Laet played 129 times for the Foxes, having signed for them from Man Utd in 2012.

The 27-year-old scored five goals for the East Midlands side – the most recent coming against us during the 2015/16 campaign.

De Laet was part of Leicester’s Premier League and Championship-winning squads and memorably collected a medal for winning promotion while on loan with Middlesbrough on the same day that the Foxes lifted the top-flight trophy.

The 27-year-old Belgian, who started his career with Royal Antwerpt, was a regular feature for Leicester as they made their journey from the Championship to the top of the Premier League.

His pace and versatility in defence have seen him pick up plenty of experience across England’s top two tiers during his career and he will bring plenty to Roberto Di Matteo’s side as we look to bounce back to the Premier League at the first attempt.
