Mark Bunn arrived in B6 in July 2015 – and put big pressure on No.1 goalkeeper Brad Guzan throughout 2015/16.
Bunn joined in time for Villa's pre-season tour of the Algarve and worked with Guzan, alongside coach Tony Parks, who he knew from their time together at Norwich.
Initially Bunn was understudy to Guzan, only starting the 5-3 win over Notts County in the Capital One Cup throughout August, September, October, November and December.
He then took on the mantle from January’s Wycombe Wanderers FA Cup third round replay onwards, keeping his place in the side until Guzan regained it for the home clash with Everton in March 2016.
During that time, Villa picked up wins over Crystal Palace and Norwich as well as earning creditable draws against Leicester – when he saved a penalty - West Brom and West Ham.
He finished the season between the sticks, however, starting against Watford, Newcastle and Arsenal.
The goalkeeper started out in Tottenham's youth team before joining Northampton Town of the then Division Two.
He established himself as a firm fans' favourite at Sixfields - making over 100 appearances.
A year later, the stopper joined Premier League Blackburn Rovers.
During four years at Ewood Park, Bunn played understudy to No.1 Paul Robinson and enjoyed loan spells at Leicester City and Sheffield United.
He joined Norwich City in 2012 and made 23 appearances - predominately in the Premier League.
