Aston Villa announced the signing of Lino Sousa from Arsenal in February 2024. The youngster immediately headed out on loan to Plymouth Argyle, making eight appearances in the Championship. 

The left-sided defender, who is an England Under-19 international, previously joined the Gunners from the West Bromwich Albion academy. At Arsenal, he was involved with the first team set-up, being named on the substitutes’ bench for an FA Cup third-round tie with Liverpool.
