Khalid Abdo endured an indifferent 2015/16 but still played his part for Kevin MacDonald's U21 outfit and lifted the HK Soccer 7s trophy.
After missing the middle months of the campaign, he netted crucial goals in the home win over West Ham and 2-2 draw at Blackburn to help seal a play-off place.
He also won player of the tournament in the Far East as the claret and blues emerged victorious in the end-of-term 7s event.
Abdo signed for Villa in November 2012.
He came to Villa's attention after impressing for Swedish Second Division outfit Larje-Angered.
Known for his mazy runs and quick feet, Abdo is an U18 Swedish international.
He initially linked up with the club's U18 side but is now a regular in the U21 set-up.
