Homegrown star Jacob Ramsey has become a key player for Aston Villa since enjoying a breakout campaign in 2020/21. He reached 100 appearances for the club during the 2022/23 season, showing his qualities once again by scoring six goals and registering eight assists. 

Ramsey scored his first senior goal for Villa in a Premier League fixture against Arsenal in October 2021. He went on to make 34 Premier League appearances during the campaign, scoring an impressive six goals, while also establishing himself for England's Under-21 side.

Ramsey was duly named both Villa's Players’ Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season as he walked away with an awards double in May 2022, a month after being rewarded for his performances with a new five-year contract. 

September 2024 saw him net his first UEFA Champions League goal for the club in Villa's first game back in Europe's elite competition. The winger notched the second in a dominant 3-0 win away at BSC Young Boys in Bern, Switzerland. 

It was part of nine goal contributions during a total of 46 appearances during the 2024/25 season.

On the international stage, Ramsey helped England win the Under-21 European Championship in July 2023.
