James Bree joined Villa in January 2017.
The 19-year-old full-back arrived from Barnsley and penned a four-and-a-half-year deal.
After joining at the age of 14, he progressed through the Tykes’ academy through to first team level.
Bree became the second youngest-ever player to represent Barnsley when he made his senior bow in the Reds' meeting with QPR in the 2013/14 season at just 16 years and 143 days old.
He was a focal part of Paul Heckingbottom’s team that won promotion from League One to the Championship and reached and won the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final in 2016.
Primarily a full-back, Bree started out as a midfielder at youth level.
