'Appy 'Arry at the double

On this day in 1905, Villa won the FA Cup for the fourth time, beating Newcastle United 2-0 on the final at the Crystal Palace.

Harry Hampton, popularly known as ‘Appy ‘Arry, scored both goals, opening the scoring after just two minutes and adding his second 14 minutes from the end.
