Jordan Lyden would love to match-up against starlet Spurs midfielder Dele Alli in the central ground on Sunday.
Villa face Tottenham in B6, with a 4pm kick-off.
Lyden has been in and around the claret and blue first team for some months now and is eager to break into the side as a regular.
He'd relish facing Alli, who have been impressing for Spurs this term.
Alli has been nursing an ankle problem but is expected to be available this weekend.
He said: "Dele has done very well.
"He had a lot of experience at MK Dons.
"He has really pushed on this season and impressed a lot of people with both Tottenham and England.
"Ryan Mason is a very talented footballer for them too.
"Ryan does a lot of the dirty work but can also play at the right time.
"From a personal perspective, I have to look at those players and hope to break through like them as soon as possible.
"I can't wait for the Tottenham game. We want to push on and get the victory.
"They have a youthful side. They have a lot of very good young players - like Dele and Ryan - and a very good manager. They have done very well this season.
"They want the points to help their title push but we're striving hard for the win to help us as we look to survive."
Lyden has impressed many with his work ethic and likeable nature in and around the training ground this term.
And he admits, despite the team's struggles, that it's an honour to represent the club.
He added: "I was over the moon to be called up to the first team for training - it was a massive achievement for me.
"I have kicked on and continued to work hard. Now I am part of the squad.
"I am now looking to get more minutes under my belt.
"It's a dream come true to be involved."
