Rémi Garde spoke of the need for "total interest and concentration" in training ahead of the nine-match run-in, starting with Tottenham on Sunday.

In his pre-match press conference, Garde was quizzed about whether sessions of team building were needed away from the training ground.

While agreeing that bonding socially was important, Garde stressed that now there is no substitute for industry and intensity on the fields at present ahead of our vital climax to the campaign.

He told the media: "As you can guess in the position we are in I am always trying to find the best training sessions and the best solutions to give confidence to the players to make them believe that the impossible is possible.

"I believe in team building but I also believe there is a time in a season to do that - that time is pre-season. That is the right period to do it.

"Now we have much more interest and concentration in the way we want to play football rather than this. But I believe this is something that helps, of course, the relations between the players."

In team news, Garde spoke of good progress from Adama Traore and Jordan Amavi but said both were not available for this weekend.

Carlos Sanchez, Libor Kozak and Jack Grealish were also revealed to be serious doubts for the weekend B6 encounter.
