Villa's youngsters produced an excellent response to the disappointment of their FA Youth Cup exit on Monday evening - with victory over Leicester in their final Barclays U18 Premier League South Division fixture of 2015/16.
In horrendous weather conditions, the team battled hard and defended strongly against a lively Foxes attack to round off their league campaign in style.
The claret and blues came into the game more in the second period, taking advantage of the wind and created some good opportunities of which leading scorer Callum O'Hare headed in Andre Green's fantastic right-wing cross.
The team finished the game strongly and restricted the Foxes to half chances while looking dangerous on the counter-attack.
Jack Coates and Mitch Clark were again excellent in defence while Jake Hayes had a superb game in central midfield.
Having played all 22 of their league fixtures, the young lions will have to wait to see if they have qualified for the top four play-off spots.
They currently sit fourth with 36 points - Fulham and Arsenal lie below on 35 but with two games left to play.
Once all teams in the league have completed their fixtures in both the Northern and Southern league, the two leagues will split into three four-team groups based on league position.
Each team will then enter the end-of-season play-off stage against the matching teams in the Northern division.
Coach Ben Petty said: "I am delighted with how the players have picked themselves up from a difficult week.
"Our aim at the start of the season was to qualify in the top four and we have completed our league programme in fourth place now awaiting some results from outstanding fixtures.
"This was a challenge for our players.
"It's sometimes about character and attitude rather than total football. We passed this test."
