Rémi Garde has called on "good communion" between fans and players for the rest of the season as Villa look to win the survival fight.
Garde knows the team's position is precarious as we look to escape relegation - and he appreciates the worry and concern among the claret and blue faithful.
Despite this, he appreciates the backing received all season for the team - and called for more of the same as his side chase down Norwich, hopefully starting with three points against the Canaries this weekend.
He said: "We feel so much support from our fans.
"They are terrific. They carry on supporting the team. Support from them is brilliant.
"For myself, I receive a lot of support. This backing for me is very important.
"I always say a football club is not only players or board, it's also fans - and they are part of the club.
"They suffer a lot and they imagine the worst for next season but they are still behind us.
"It's very important to feel that - and I thank them a lot, despite the fact we are not winning games.
"The players are feeling inspired by the fans. I like this communion and relationship. It's very helpful. We need that.
"We always need it during the game. After the match, if we have not been playing well and I have made the bad decision, we need to accept criticism.
"But during the game - especially in our situation - the players need to feel this support."
