Rémi Garde insists three points is the only option for Villa this weekend against Norwich.
Garde has labelled Saturday's clash as "tremendously important" as Villa come up against a relegation rival.
Villa are at the foot of the table and 10 points from safety - with the Canaries occupying that spot in 17th, two above the drop zone.
Garde says there is "no choice" now but a maximum haul.
He also called on his players to remember the immense frustration of the reverse fixture, where they went down 2-0 at Carrow Road.
He said: "Norwich is a tremendously important game. It's a big match.
"I hope we will remember the game we had there. It was a tough match there. It will be the time for us to win.
"We have no choice now. We would have liked something at West Ham before the Norwich game. But unfortunately, that's football.
"The spirit the players showed at Upton Park was brilliant - it was the same we showed in the previous games. We will have to keep that.
"I was very proud of the way they reacted to all the stuff against us. The players did what they could."
Garde also spoke of his hopes of seeing some players back for the weekend B6 encounter.
Rudy Gestede, Libor Kozak, Carlos Sanchez, Ashley Westwood and Alan Hutton all missed out at West Ham.
But Garde is keeping his fingers crossed that several of them might be fit for Saturday's crunch game.
He added: "I will check with the medical team today.
"Hopefully we could have one or two back in the team. But I am not sure yet."
