Rémi Garde insists he won't give up on our survival fight - as he hailed the team's newfound spirit.
Villa dominated the derby game against West Brom but couldn't find that all important goal to earn a maximum haul.
That means that we are now 10 points from safety with 15 games remaining.
Garde knows the task will be tough but says that his side will battle until the end.
The effort and determination of his players gives him real hope that we can end the campaign very strongly.
He said: "We won't give up. We won't give up until the end.
"Our job is to believe until the end - and we will.
"I have said it before - I will be the last one to give up.
"To be fair, I am really frustrated that we only played this way for the last few games.
"But we are going to try and do it until the end now.
"When you saw the reaction of the fans, they liked the way we tried and they liked the way we fought until the end. This is the minimum I expect from my team.
"For the last few games, I have seen a real team and this is very important for me.
"I believe they have pleasure to play in this way and I can only regret that we started very late in the season with this kind of spirit."
