West Brom v Villa
Barclays Premier League
Saturday January 23 - KO 3pm
Referee: Robert Madley
Rémi Garde will do late tests on Gabby Agbonlahor and Carlos Sanchez before the West Brom game.
But he admits both players are doubts for the Baggies derby.
Garde revealed that Agbonlahor trained on Sunday ahead of the Wycombe FA Cup replay after overcoming his back problem.
But he was then struck down with a hip problem the day before the match.
Garde will assess the long-serving striker as he strives to be fit for the Albion clash.
Sanchez is still struggling with a hamstring problem that saw him limp off on Tuesday.
The Colombian midfielder overcame the issue to make the starting line-up against the Chairboys.
But he had to be subbed with a reoccurrence at half-time.
Garde, like with Agbonlahor, will check his fitness levels.
Alan Hutton will miss out against Albion after failing to recover from his hamstring issue.
Meanwhile, Albion are likely to be without Chris Brunt, who suffered a calf injury in their midweek FA Cup third round replay with Bristol City.
James Morrison [hamstring] is also sidelined while Darren Fletcher [knee] is a doubt.
Jonas Olsson and Saido Berahino are battling to recover from illness.
They are playing a home game for a derby, I'm expecting a very tough game for us.
They will be full of energy, probably, they're in a better position than us in the table.
They are in a more comfortable situation. I don't expect any gifts from them.
The last two games really pleased me, the results, of course, but also the way the players who were involved in the two games performed.
Normally derbies are very tight games. We will have to concentrate and focus.
Every derby match you play, every time you're competing against local rivals, you want to win games - it's important.
We've gone over there at the beginning of the season, played really well and deserved that victory.
It's a different game today, different circumstances.
Every team in this league needs to be shown respect.
Hopefully we can take it on and get the result that we want.
I think this game is coming at a good time. We have confidence
They beat us at home. Now we're eager to beat them away - and get the three points and keep our run going.
These derby matches are important games for the fans and for the club.
We know that. I'm sure it will be a good game this afternoon.
They are a tough team to beat. And, of course they're going well.
But we're not afraid of any team so we'll treat it the same as any game.
My team-mates have explained the importance of this match.
It is important in the Birmingham area.
It will be difficult for them as Villa are down near the bottom.
We need to win at home to take the three points.
