Idrissa Gana says there's a steely determination to win this weekend's derby clash with West Brom - for the bragging rights and the survival bid.
Gana missed the Baggies clash in B6 earlier this term through injury - but he's focused on starting and starring in a claret and blue revenge mission.
He said: "It will not be an easy game.
"When they played us last time they won and I see it as some sort of revenge - a real challenge for us.
"We are determined we are going to win this time."
Gana wants to send supporters home happy but he knows that three points would mean even more this time around, with the club battling relegation.
He says there has been a lack of belief in camp due to a poor run of form previously - but stressed that confidence is back as the players strive for a great escape.
He added: "We believe we can still stay up otherwise we would all stay at home.
"We are working towards that.
"If you are on the bottom you have players who don't have confidence. It is not easy.
"We just have to stay focused and keep working.
"Sometimes when we lose a lot of games and we are on the bottom, it is difficult for the fans - and also for the players.
"It depends on us now. It is down to us.
"We are doing our best for the supporters and we're asking them to stick with us.
"Hopefully they will see more results - including this weekend at The Hawthorns."
