Report: West Ham U18 2-1 Villa U18

Our U18s suffered a cruel last-gasp defeat in an entertaining meeting with West Ham at Little Heath.

After an open goalless first half, both teams created some good chances but were not clinical enough in front of goal and relied on some fantastic saves from Emmanuel Idem [pictured].

The second half continued to produce an end-to-end encounter of which West Ham opened the scoring against the run of play through Dan Kemp.

The visitors responded strongly and deservedly equalised through substitute Harvey Knibbs on 88 minutes.

The Hammers recovered well and Villa conceded deep into injury time courtesy of triallist Sam Ford's goal to inflict defeat.

VILLA U18: Idem, Clark, Hall, Zeidan, Coates, Sundman (Prosser 50), Humphries, (Clarke 65), Hayes, Mooney, O'Hare, Cox, (Knibbs 75). Unused subs: Sarkic, Hailey.
