Garde assesses Bunn

Injury report: Update on Sanchez, Agbonlahor, Grealish and Hutton Garde: January window will give the squad "my personal touch"
Garde assesses Bunn

Rémi Garde has hailed the commanding presence of Mark Bunn as he considers his goalkeeping options this weekend against Leicester.

We face the Foxes on Saturday in a 5.30pm kick-off at Villa Park.

Bunn, who joined Villa in the summer and worked under goalkeeping coach Tony Parks at Norwich, came into the side against Crystal Palace.

The 31-year-old performed admirably and kept a clean sheet as Villa won 1-0 against the high-flying Eagles.

The manager was certainly wholesome in his praise of Bunn.

He said: "I will decide on the goalkeeper for this weekend.

"I was pleased with Mark's performance on Tuesday.

"It's the way he behaves too - in that it's not only about the saves you make when you are in this position.

"It's also the confidence and calm you can transmit to the team.

"I was pleased with Mark for that."
