Rémi Garde has called for added industry from his players as they look to recapture the winning feeling against Crystal Palace.
Villa face the Eagles on Tuesday, with a 7.45pm kick-off in B6.
Garde wants a huge effort from the lads - citing the performance against West Ham as the playing standard to recreate this midweek.
The Hammers draw is at the forefront of the manager's mind for other reasons too - as it also offered him inspiration for the future as players and fans bonded to create a cracking atmosphere.
He said: "We're going to try and find what we put into the West Ham game.
"We are going to try and put the same intensity - and the same willingness to win - as we did in that game.
"I felt at this time something very special between the fans and the team.
"I hope - and it's necessary - to have the same feeling around the next game, for sure.
"We are a football team with football players. They have gone through, probably, this kind of situation already.
"You have to roll your sleeves up and do the job the best you can.
"It's a question of pride to play better and to work harder for the team and for the club.
"Personally, of course, I want to win games. I am desperate for that.
"But I am trying to keep calm and see the situation.
"I have to analyse things calmly and make the best decisions I can."
Garde is a big admirer of Palace - but insists Villa can pick up the three points.
He added: "Palace are doing well. They have a lot of confidence. They are very good players.
"For us it will be a tough game, once again.
"But I believe we have the possibility, as well, to win this game."
