While Villa's first team squad are preparing to hit the FA Cup trail this weekend, our stars of the future are also involved in a big cup encounter.
Ben Petty leads his young charges to Crystal Palace for the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup on Saturday lunchtime.
After digging deep to see off Everton at Goodison Park in round three, another big tie at a big Barclays Premier League venue awaits the young claret and blues side.
But they head to Selhurst Park in buoyant mood after winning five of their last six matches before the Christmas break.
"Palace will be another tough away test for our players," said Petty.
"They play a very attacking formation with lots of power and pace so we are focusing on being as good out of possession - as we were at Everton in the last round - so we can put our own stamp on the game.
"We have a couple of injury doubts but overall the squad is fit and strong.
"Hopefully everyone is refreshed and we are looking forward to the challenge."
Rushian Hepburn-Murphy was Villa's hero in the last round, settling a closely-fought tie with a last-minute header.
Callum O'Hare - our leading marksman in this season's Barclays U18 Premier League with eight goals in 18 games - will be relishing the Palace clash after recently signing his first professional contract.
Our FA Youth Cup tie against Crystal Palace kicks off at 12pm on Saturday.
