Tom Cleverley joined up with the non-internationals today on his first day at Bodymoor Heath.

Cleverley trained with the likes of Ashley Westwood, Kieran Richardson, Gabby Agbonlahor and Joe Cole as he got used to his new surroundings.

The on-loan Man Utd ace followed up his session on the fields with media duties for the club.

Cleverley was snapped by photographer Neville Williams in various locations around the multi-million pound complex.

He held up this season's claret and blue home shirt before wearing it for the first time ahead of his potential debut against Liverpool next weekend.

Cleverley will work hard to impress the likes of Paul Lambert and Roy Keane as he aims for a spot in the centre ground.

Cleverley told us: "I've been watching Villa games this year and it's been a really good start and, with the upcoming fixtures all big games, hopefully I can bring a bit of big game experience and add to the squad and help us to win some games.

"It's a team that plays the style of football that I like. They play with high energy, they pass and move and there are a lot of good young players.

"The manager told me the way that he'd like me to play and it all sat perfectly for me. I'm very happy to be coming down to play for Villa."
