Reading U18s 1-1 Villa U18s: Suliman on target

Villa battled back to earn a draw in the first game of the Barclays U18 Premier League campaign.

It was a scrappy contest at Reading's Hogwood Park training ground but the Royals eventually took the lead with just 15 minutes remaining.

Daniel Williams' overhead kick cannoned back off the woodwork and Fabriel Osho converted the rebound.

But Tony McAndrew's team equalised 10 minutes later when defender Easah Suliman was well placed to convert a free-kick.

Villa play their first home game of the season on Saturday when they face local rivals West Bromwich Albion.

The clash kicks off at 11am at Bodymoor Heath.

VILLA: Forth, Clark, Hailey, R Strain, Suliman, Lyons-Foster, Taylor, Hale, Hepburn-Murphy, Abdo, O'Hare. Unused subs: Lewis, Bannister, Archer, Clarke.
