Chief executive Paul Faulkner hits the heights for charity

Paul Faulkner was joined by a host of enthusiastic adventurers today at Villa Park as he completed his charity abseil to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

The Villa chief executive abseiled down the Holte End, having made the pledge following the diagnosis of his son, William, with cystic fibrosis, a life-limiting condition which affects the lungs and intestines.

Some 10,000 people in the UK are afflicted by the condition, along with tens of thousands more worldwide, and many Villa fans donated to the fundraising effort with more than 100 enthusiasts of all persuasions signing up to join Paul in the 100ft abseil.
