Fabian Delph has hailed the potential of Callum Robinson and Jack Grealish after the young duo got the chance to shine against Manchester City.
Robinson came off the bench for his third senior appearance, while boyhood Villa supporter Grealish made his debut in the final few minutes of Wednesday night's clash at the Etihad Stadium.
And Delph has told the claret and blue faithful they can expect to see a lot more of the academy aces in the future.
"It is great for them," said the newly-crowned supporters' player of the year.
"I remember being their age and getting the opportunity to play. You are full of excitement and enthusiasm.
"They are good players and in the future you will probably see a lot more of them.
"This club has always given young lads a chance and I don't think that will change."
Delph felt Villa did a good job of containing title-chasing City, even though they ended up on the wrong end of a 4-0 scoreline.
The visitors defended resolutely until Edin Dzeko cracked their resistance with a 64th-minute strike.
"We were strong for about 60 minutes and we frustrated them," added Delph.
"We went into the game with nobody giving us a chance anyway.
"We tried to keep it tight and catch them on the break but they did what all champions do - they found a way to win.
"We had short spells where we tried to make something happen and I think 4-0 was a false scoreline.
"But they had it won at 2-0. We were fatigued then the game opened up a bit and they managed to get a few more chances."
