Paul Lambert admits he's weighing up the option of starting with Jordan Bowery tonight at Man City.
Bowery had only made seven substitute appearances before the Hull game.
But he came off the bench to great effort against the Tigers, creating numerous chances for himself, working his socks off and setting up Andi Weimann for the side's vital third goal on the high-pressure afternoon in B6.
The man he replaced - Gabby Agbonlahor - will be a doubt after injuring his knee in the weekend encounter.
And manager Lambert says Bowery is very much in his thinking heading into tonight.
Asked whether Bowery might play, Lambert said: "There's a good chance.
"I need to see how Gabby and Andi are. But, yes, there's a good chance.
"It was a massive performance from Jordan and I'm delighted for him actually.
"A little bit more belief in his brain and he could do really well.
"It's about getting a little bit more belief in his own mind that he's earned the right to be at this club.
"Then he could be a really good player. But I thought his performance was outstanding.
"His running of the channels, getting hold of the ball, his work-rate, it was excellent.
"He did great down the channel for Andi's second goal and he will have been feeling it and tired after the match. But he was fantastic.
"He's only a young kid. But he's got a right good opportunity to go and try and do something as a footballer.
"If he performs like that then he gives you a problem."
