The Sun: Ron Vlaar is urging his Aston Villa side to dent Manchester City's title hopes tomorrow night. Villa beat City 3-2 at home in September and skipper Vlaar is aiming to do the double over Manuel Pellegrini's men at the Etihad. The Villans have secured their Premier League survival with two games remaining.

Birmingham Mail: Marc Albrighton has emerged as a target for Everton as the Villa winger's contract ticks down. Albrighton's current deal expires at the end of the season and he has yet to agree new terms with his boyhood club. The 24-year-old wideman is admired by Roberto Martinez and the Toffees boss is ready to offer him a fresh start at Goodison Park. Villa boss Paul Lambert confirmed last week that chief executive Paul Faulkner had spoken to Albrighton's representative about the possibility of a new contract. But the Birmingham Mail understands the Bodymoor Heath graduate is keen to wait until the uncertainty surrounding the club's future is resolved before committing himself to a deal.

Birmingham Mail: Andi Weimann puts his timely drought-ending double down to being played in his best position. Weimann ended a 12-game wait for a goal with a headed double in Saturday's crucial victory over Hull at Villa Park. It was the first time the Austrian international striker had been on the scoresheet since his goal in the January win over Albion. Weimann has been used in a wide right role for most of the season - and last - but admits he and Paul Lambert know he is better suited to playing as a centre forward.

Independent: Aston Villa and Hull City will compete this summer to sign Kevin Vogt, the highly-rated Germany U21 midfielder from Augsburg. With Premier League safety now assured for both sides, they are looking to their summer recruitment and have identified 22-year-old Vogt as one of their main targets. Vogt, thought of as one of the most promising young midfielders in Germany, has been an important part of the Augsburg side who are set for the best season in their history.

Sky Sports: Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph has spoken of his delight after being voted the supporters' Player of the Season. Villa fans are still voting on their choice for the award with two games of the campaign remaining, but Delph has leapt ahead in the polls and is now uncatchable. The former Leeds United man has been in superb form this season despite Villa's struggles - voted by the fans as man-of-the-match on 11 occasions.

Best of the Rest

BBC Sport: Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says his side's chance of winning the Premier League has gone after the 3-3 draw at Crystal Palace. The Reds blew a 3-0 lead at Selhurst Park and now top the table by a point from Manchester City, who have a game in hand and a superior goal difference.

BBC Sport: Jose Mourinho says that the addition of a "killer" striker will be the key to Chelsea beating stubborn opposition next season. Chelsea's Premier League title hopes were all but ended by a 0-0 draw with relegation-threatened Norwich.

BBC Sport: Manager Tony Pulis says he will discuss his long-term plans for Crystal Palace with chairman Steve Parish this week. Palace were in the Premier League's relegation zone when Pulis replaced Ian Holloway in November, but the Welshman has guided the Eagles into 11th place.
