Hull central defender Curtis Davies has singled out Fabian Delph for praise ahead of this weekend's big clash, insisting: "His quality is unreal."
Davies was a huge fan of Delph when the pair trained and played together in B6.
He was gutted to see Delph suffer with injuries over the past few seasons.
But the central defender has watched on with a smile this term as the marauding midfielder has shone.
Delph is Villa's star man this weekend, insists Davies.
He said: "When Fabian came into the building at Bodymoor his ability was unreal.
"He has quick feet, his passing is excellent, he can strike it, he can tackle, he can do everything you'd want.
"He is the complete package in my view.
"He's over his niggles too. He had a few earlier in his career but hopefully that's it for him now.
"He looks really good in that midfield area. He's been really excellent this season.
"Obviously Hull came up against Villa towards the start of the season and Fabian impressed me yet again.
"I am a big fan of our midfield two of Jake Livermore and Tom Huddlestone and I thought Fabian did really well against them, which is something special in my book.
"He was a rat in there. He was here, there and everywhere. He was breaking up play and breaking forward too. I think he will be a big player for Villa over many years."
