Ron Vlaar admits he's thrilled with the improved home form - because it makes so many fans happy.
By his own admission, the early-season results in B6 were not good enough by the claret and blues.
But, after victories over Norwich and Chelsea, things look rosy in the Villa Park garden again.
Vlaar is delighted that the team have turned it around.
He hopes the team can now build on that feelgood factor for the remaining four encounters on friendly soil.
He said: "The home record this season wasn't too good early on.
"But we won the last two - and also beat West Brom in the derby too - so it's starting to look much better here at home.
"To win your home games is so important. You cannot win every match but if you can choose between winning at home and winning away, then winning at home is better because more fans are behind you there.
"The spirit improves from there - from your home form.
"Of course you need results away as well, but we've started performing at home like we should and what I think we're capable of.
"When you look at it, we have beaten Chelsea and we have beaten Manchester City at home, so it's going in the right direction definitely.
"The win against Chelsea in particular, who are on top of the table, is a great boost for the team and the way we performed was really good.
"We have to build on that and we have to focus - and believe in ourselves that we can do this in every game.
"It's the work ethic that is key - that's where it all starts.
"Of course you cannot play every game as well as you hope or think - but you can earn the right to win and get the points."
