Brad Guzan has backed Joe Bennett or Antonio Luna to excel against Chelsea, if asked to deputise for the ineligible Ryan Bertrand.
The keeper has been highly impressed with the impact of Bertrand, who joined on loan from the Blues in January, but he is unable to play this weekend against his parent club.
Boss Paul Lambert could call upon Bennett or Luna - or even switch formations as he has in several matches this term, playing with a central defensive three and two wing-backs.
If Lambert does select Bennett or Luna, Guzan has no doubts whatsoever about their ability to shine.
He said: "We have great faith in whoever comes into the team. We believe in everyone in this group.
"Joe has had a few injuries this season. But he's back fit now and we're delighted to see him available again.
"He has great ability. We know what he can do. There's no question he can deal with the challenge at hand on Saturday if he's selected.
"Antonio has games under his belt now in this division after coming in from Spain at the start of the season. It's not always easy coming into a new country. It took me time to adjust to the Premier League, unquestionably. But he's improving every week he's here.
"Whoever comes in, we have all the confidence in the world in them.
"Collectively, we know it will be a difficult challenge. But we will step up to the plate and hopefully take some points off the team at the top of the table."
Guzan was also quick to hail newboy Bertrand, who will miss out on Saturday.
He added: "Ryan has been really fantastic for us. You can see the ability he has. It's obvious.
"He has come from Chelsea and played in the Champions League final. He has it all.
"He has been a massive addition to the team. He has fit in brilliantly in the dressing room too. He likes the banter.
"Ryan has qualities up and down a sheet of paper. What he brings is phenomenal.
"But that was never in question. We knew he'd be great when we first heard he'd signed because of where he's been."
