Gabby Agbonlahor hailed two-goal Norwich hero Christian Benteke as a "colossal force" on the pitch - but a "gentle giant" off it.
Agbonlahor has played with Benteke for the best part of two seasons now and he's been highly impressed with the performances of the powerful frontman.
People talk about second season syndrome with Benteke - but Agbonlahor insists that fitness problems have held the Belgian back.
While Benteke is a big presence when he's playing, Agbonlahor revealed the striker as a "thoughtful generous guy" when he's away from the cut-and-thrust of first team action.
He said: "Christian has been brilliant for us.
"I haven't known many - if any - players who have made such an impact in their first season in English football.
"It was almost like everything he touched turned to gold.
"He scored goals. He led the line. He was the focal point for everything we did. His hold-up played helped the likes of Andi and I thrive, particularly in the final weeks of the season.
"People talk about a dip this season but he has had a few injuries and I know from personal experience how much of an issue they can be.
"It's no coincidence that since he's come back from his fitness problems, he's shone again.
"That goal against Arsenal did him the world of good and he's taken it up another level since then.
"His performance against Norwich summed him up. He took the game by storm and his two goals were great to see.
"Off the field, he's a great guy. He gets on brilliantly with the lads in the dressing room but he's naturally shy as a person.
"He's a huge guy as everyone knows but he's very thoughtful as a character. He will do anything for anyone, with minimum fuss. He's a gentle giant.
"He just gets on with things quietly. He knew we needed results and so he - and the other lads - knuckled down and got a good result on Sunday."
