Paul Lambert hailed the triple threat of Christian Benteke, Gabby Agbonlahor and Andreas Weimann, insisting his strikeforce were "back to their best" in the 4-1 win over Norwich.
Lambert spoke in his pre-match press conference of his belief in Benteke, Agbonlahor and Weimann.
He even told waiting media that he had given the trio a pep talk on the eve of the Canaries clash to get them firing again.
It certainly worked as Benteke bagged a brace and Agbonlahor - along with Weimann - caused all kinds of problems for the likes of Sebastien Bassong and Joseph Yobo.
Lambert said: "The first was a world-class goal from Christian. It was sensational. Overall, I thought he was excellent.
"He grew into the game and his confidence was very high after the equaliser. He was back to his old self. His second goal was a terrific header too.
"The front three were massive players for us last season. Christian had one of those seasons where everything went right.
"This season has been a bit more up and down for him but he's still scoring the goals.
"He was brilliant against Norwich. And I thought Gabby was really good and Andi was excellent. The three lads were fantastic.
"We have been threatening that for the past few weeks. We were excellent against Cardiff, in the second half especially and a good bit of the Newcastle match too.
"The front three were back to their best - they were a handful.
"If Bassong didn't get to the ball for the fourth, Gabby would have scored himself. His speed was brilliant throughout the match. He deserved a goal for the way he played. Andi was excellent also.
"They are a real threat, especially when they play like that."
