Ashley Westwood has been declared fit for Villa's Barclays Premier League clash against Norwich on Sunday.
Westwood suffered a dead leg in the 1-0 defeat at Newcastle and was forced to leave the field an hour into the St James' Park encounter.
But manager Paul Lambert confirmed this afternoon that the 23-year-old midfielder has fully recovered from the knock and will be available to face the Canaries.
Lambert felt the injury to Westwood - who was named man of the match for his display - was a game-changing moment against the Magpies.
"Ashley is fine," said the Villa boss.
"I thought he was fantastic on Sunday. To lose him at that time was a blow. But he is fit again.
"He was running the game. He was controlling the match for us."
Ryan Bertrand is also back to full health after struggling with a virus ahead of the Geordies clash.
Long-term absentee Jores Okore has begun working with the fitness coaches but is yet to join in with the rest of the squad.
"Losing Westy was a blow and so was losing Ryan, who had a virus the night before the game but still went out there and gave it a right good go."
