Vacancy at Villa: Role of groundsperson

Villa are looking for a groundsperson, qualified to NVQ Level 2 or higher in horticulture, to work primarily at their Bodymoor Heath Training Ground.

The role will involve the preparation and maintenance of the natural and artificial pitch surfaces to a high standard.

This will include:

Arrow BulletMarking out
Arrow BulletRe-seeding
Arrow BulletRe-turfing
Arrow BulletSpraying of Chemicals
Arrow BulletFertilisers
Arrow BulletVerti-cutting
Arrow BulletBrushing
Arrow BulletControl of irrigation and heating systems
Arrow BulletGeneral maintenance of workshop and machinery, ensuring that all tools and equipment are stored safely and securely when not in use and are maintained in good working order.
Arrow BulletCompliance with statutory record keeping and internal procedures relating to pitch preparation and maintenance.
Arrow BulletAdherance to the club's health & safety policy and procedures and legislative requirements as well as comply with all role specific health & safety requirements at all times.
Arrow BulletIn particular, adherence to all health and safety regulations and control procedures in the use of machinery, chemicals, equipment and lifting, using protective safety clothing and equipment as required.

A PA Spraying certificate and experience in a football environment is preferred, but not essential.
