Villa v West Brom: Player of the month decided tonight

Villa's player of the month for January will be decided tonight.

It's three points for first, two points for second and one point for third as fans vote after each match.

Gabby Agbonlahor - a doubt for this evening's clash with West Brom - is top of the poll with seven points.

He earned No.1 sport against Sunderland and Liverpool and No.3 against Arsenal.

Skipper Ron Vlaar is one back on six points.

He was No.1 against Arsenal, No.2 against Sunderland and No.3 against Liverpool.

Christian Benteke is third in the monthly voting with three points.

Our star striker was No.2 against Arsenal and No.3 against Sunderland.

Obviously with three points for a top performance, only Gabby and Ron can emerge victorious for the first month of 2014.

Fabian Delph is No.1 overall in the player of the year voting on a massive 33 points.

He has already earned a record-breaking eight man-of-the-match awards this term.

Agbonlahor is No.2 with 20 points, after picking up five man-of-the-match awards this season.

Vlaar is No.3 with 17 points.

The winner of the points race wins the Supporters Player of the Year award, also known as the Mars-sponsored Terrace Trophy.

Other previous winners of this prestigious award include Gareth Barry, Stiliyan Petrov, James Milner, Dennis Mortimer and Nigel Sims.

You will see a link to vote on the website after the match.
