Positive Karim El Ahmadi insists that Villa are heading in the right direction.
El Ahmadi says the players are confident that they are progressing as a team this term and won't let defeats dent their faith for the future.
The midfielder knows that there have been frustrating losses - Crystal Palace and Sheff Utd for example - but he insists that the road to success is never smooth.
He now hopes the belief gained from the positive performance - and point - at Liverpool will help the side drive on for the rest of the season and beyond.
He said: "The mood after Liverpool is very positive.
"It was a very good performance. We played well. We worked hard. Our tactics - that we had worked on - were good. We pressed them as you could see. You saw that it worked.
"But we have always had belief in the group. We know how we can play. We have good feelings for the rest of the season.
"We have had a lot of good performances this season, especially against the big teams like Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea - even though we lost.
"We believe we can beat any team. That's the positive thing. We have real faith in what we are doing and how we can perform and play.
"You have ups and downs. We had some matches where we didn't play that good. But we have a young team and you find when you're moving forward that you will have some slip-ups. That's natural.
"But overall we have confidence that we can keep moving forward and win games.
"The key aspect is that we are moving in the right direction. We are making progress every day.
"We showed on Saturday what we are capable of. We know can perform at high levels. We have to keep showing that regularly.
"Everything is positive with us a group. We work hard. We believe in each other. We keep going."
