Ryan Bertrand will wear the No.23 for Villa this season.
The left-sided star was handed the shirt after putting pen to paper on a loan deal from Chelsea until the end of the 2013-14 campaign today.
Bertrand will also be eligible and available for Villa's trip to Anfield on Saturday.
The talented ace trained with the team this morning on the eve of the Liverpool game.
Bertrand brings a lot of big game experience to the claret and blue ranks.
He has played in 56 games in all competitions for the Blues, including the 2011-12 Champions League final against Bayern Munich in the Allianz Arena.
He has played for England at every level from U17s through to the senior side, making his full England debut against Italy in 2012.
He also played in four games at the London 2012 Olympics for Great Britain.
He has already scored at Villa Park too, hitting home in the Community Shield against Man City in 2012.
Bertrand has also enjoyed several loan spells in the past, spending time with Bournemouth, Oldham Athletic, Norwich City, Reading and Nottingham Forest before making his debut for Chelsea in April 2011 in a 3-1 win over Birmingham City at Stamford Bridge.
