Villa are back on the FA Youth Cup trail when they travel to Liverpool for tonight's fourth round clash.
In what promises to be one of the ties of the round, the two Barclays U18 Premier League sides will meet at Langtree Park, St Helens.
Both teams were involved in high-scoring, closely-fought third round ties.
Back in December, the claret and blues edged out Plymouth, earning a 4-3 victory at Villa Park.
An Aaron Bentley own goal gave Tony McAndrew's team the advantage before the Plymouth defender scored at the other end to equalise.
Villa took the lead twice more through Jerell Sellars and Ryan Strain, only to be pegged back on both occasions.
But Khalid Abdo finally put the tie to bed with a long-range effort 16 minutes from time.
There was plenty of third round drama for the Reds too, who overcame Blackpool on penalties following a 3-3 draw.
Villa will be hoping to register their first win of 2014, having drawn 1-1 against Reading in the league last Wednesday before losing 1-0 to Leicester on Saturday.
An away trip to Watford or Norwich awaits the winner of tonight's game.
