Fabian Delph has spoken of his delight at seeing Marc Albrighton impressing again in a claret and blue shirt.
Albrighton has had a torrid couple of years with injuries but came roaring back into the fold just before Christmas with a series of top performances.
That led to the winger being named player of the month for December.
Delph was thrilled to welcome him back - but admitted he wasn't surprised because he knows all about Albrighton's strong desire to succeed.
He said: "I am delighted to see him back. I am really happy for him. He's a really good lad.
"I know what it's like to be injured long-term. For him to weather the storm and come through is terrific.
"He got a player of the month award too. Fair play to him.
"He's a top player. He's got masses of talent and he works really hard for the team too.
"His form has been great. It's not like his form dropped at any point really. He's just been unlucky with injuries. He's not had game time.
"Now he has, you are starting to see the best of him.
"I knew he'd be back because he's mentally strong. You need to have that characteristic with injuries. He showed it in abundance.
"Now he's determined to impress, progress and improve. He's flying."
Delph believes that Albrighton will be enjoying playing regular matches - but the midfielder thinks that being in and around the team day-to-day is the best feeling in football.
He added: "I love the banter in the dressing room. I love being in and around the lads every day in training. It's tremendous.
"It's great to train Monday to Friday. That's when you feel part of it. When you're injured, you don't feel part of it.
"When you're out on the pitch with the lads, it's great. The banter with the lads is the thing you miss most."
