Paul Lambert has backed his team to cause Man Utd real problems on Sunday.
He believes "everyone knows" that Villa are a formidable forward threat when they get going, with the likes of Christian Benteke, Gabby Agbonlahor and Andreas Weimann attacking menaces.
Lambert says Villa need to hit top form against the Red Devils and, if they do, his side have a chance of emerging with all three precious points.
He said: "We will try and do it.
"I have some really good players, no doubt about it.
"We have energy and a threat. It's well documented. Everyone knows this.
"If we can play to our maximum, we have a chance.
"It was a cracking game last time out and a blow to lose. We will look to generate that level of performance again this time."
While Lambert is keen to see that forward fire again, he's confident his defence will stand strong in the face of Man Utd's menacing striking department of Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck.
He added: "Brad and the entire defence have been excellent for us and they'll have to be again on Sunday.
"They'll have to be right on the ball to stop them. Going forward, I know we can create.
"I think Nathan and Ciaran - the two of them - have got better the longer they've played with each other and I think they have grasped the league.
"They have come on leaps and bounds in that scenario.
"Knowing each other for a long time will certainly help them."
